Postdoctoral position – Information Processing and Control over Wireless Networks
The research centre STC (Sensible Things that Communicate www.miun.se/stc) is looking for PhD students for the SMART Project – Smart Systems and Services. The research will be conducted in collaboration with industrial partners in a project integrating technology challenges within the fields of smart systems and services in the application areas of smart cities, large area surveillance and efficient production.
The research will be conducted in the research group Communication Systems and Networking (CNS). The successful applicant will collaborate with other researchers in the SMART Project, as well as with researchers at the departments.
Job description: To conduct original research in the area of signal and information processing and control over wireless networks, in particular, theoretical analysis of fundamental limits in networked estimation and control, signal processing for wireless sensor networks (WSN) with quantization, packet loss, delay and fading, as well as design and analysis of signal processing and control algorithms over WSN. Experience of theoretical and experimental work within the field is important, as is experience of extensive programming in embedded systems and MATLAB. The job includes theoretical analysis, algorithm design and implementation via software based simulations, and documentation in the form of technical papers and reports. Teaching and writing research applications may be included at a level not exceeding 20%. Requirements: To qualify for employment as a post-doctor, applicants must hold a PhD degree or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a PhD.
